People & Mascots
Jeff Alexander

In Spring 2004, following the inspiration of his two ‘mascots’ Max (Boston Terrier) and Lola (Boxer), Jeff outlined the business plan, and the initial designs that are the foundation of Mascot. Having relocated to the Boston area from San Francisco, Jeff applied the design and merchandising principles from 12 years of experience in corporate fashion retail and home furnishings, to four-legged fashion. Mascot designs incorporate classic prints, durable materials and a classic color palette.
The first collection delivered in stores the Summer of 2006 and since then Mascot has developed a loyal following of people & dogs alike. Jeff and the team continue to evolve the brand, introduce new products and be inspired the mascot in their lives.
Jeff's Mascots
-
Max
Max, a 10 year old Boston Terrier, is a sweet and sensitive old soul with a crusty exterior. He is full of life, rough and tumble, and does his best to prove his independence everyday. His ideal day is spent at the beach running in the surf: add a game of fetch and a couple of kids to chase, and he is in heaven.
-
Lola
Lola, an 8 year old fawn boxer, also loves the beach and kids; but most of all, she loves Max. Affectionate is an understatement when describing Lola. The ultimate optimist, she loves all things pink and girly, and is always happy.
Stephanie Murray

Stephanie partnered with Jeff in Mascot in February of 2005 after spending about 6 years in client marketing for a large interactive agency. Focused on brand development, product design & marketing outreach she dove into the world of all things "dog", and has never looked back.
Stephanie is inspired everyday by her two incredibly funny and furry ‘mascots’, Riley (Poodle mix) and Milo (Bichon mix).
"There is nothing more rewarding than watching all your hard work come to fruition and be recognized. We are inspired everyday by all the wonderful mascots in our lives." - Stephanie

Riley
Riley is a 6 year old Poodle mix. She is a sweet little devil whose curiosity sometimes gets her into trouble, but one bat of her long eyelashes and she's got you hooked. When she’s not hard at work in the office, you can find her lounging in a patch of sun or sneaking off somewhere to secretly satisfy her tissue paper craving.
-
Milo
Milo is the loveable class clown. A 2 year old part Bichon mix & wind-up toy, he is full of energy and lives to play fetch and tug of war. Never far from your side, Milo is the ultimate buddy. He has an undying love for Lola, treats, and toys of all shapes & sizes.
Marta Lomanno, Product Manager
When asked at a very young age what she wanted to be when she grew up, Marta would answer “a veterinarian or “an artist.” What seemed like two very different interests at the time, now make perfect sense. Marta grew up with dogs her whole life and especially cherished her sweet natured, beloved dachshund, Abigail.
She continued to pursue her passion with the arts at Syracuse University’s school of Art and Design where her creative studies lead her into the fashion/retail industry with a focus on visual merchandising and product development.
"When the opportunity at Mascot came up, I jumped on it. The idea of joining a dedicated team and wonderful brand where I could combine my passions in life turned out to be a perfect fit!” - Marta
